Controlled Environment Equipment Program

The Health Association’s Clinical Engineering Service (CES) has implemented a program to certify Biological Safety Cabinets, Fume Hoods, Clean Benches, Clean Rooms, and Grossing Stations. Currently the focus is on Nova Scotia’s acute care sector and both NSHA and IWK have signed on to a three-year commitment. In total there are approximately 190 unique devices primarily located within Clinical Labs, Pharmacy, and Diagnostic Imaging.
